Winter in Wellington, FL

The Village of Wellington in West Palm Beach, Florida is the home of winter equestrian performance sports -- "The Winter Equestrian Capital of the World." It is the center of the largest concentration of premier quality shows, the highest level of competitors, and the greatest convenience for showing.  For dressage there are many national and several "CDI" shows scheduled over 3 months (see our 'Show Dates' page) making it the worlds' most intensive circuit.

Litchfield Hills Dressage has a few stalls available on a beautiful 10-acre property located in a very private gated community in Wellington.  It truly is a peaceful oasis, with blue heron, a pair of sand-hill cranes, ducks and hawks that visit regularly. The property is minutes away from the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center's (PBIEC) "Stadium" showgrounds which is the centerpiece for the Global Dressage Festival (GDF) in Wellington.

There are 12 stalls in the two airy barns which have 12' x 12' matted stalls with extra large windows and doors. The barn has an automatic botanical fly spray system and place for individual fans. The property has huge grass turnout paddocks that are hard to find in Wellington as well as an over-sized (100' x 200') riding ring.

Enjoy thrilling world-class hunter/jumper shows at PBIEC's Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) and high-goal polo matches every week.  Non-horsey people in your family can enjoy everything that Palm Beach has to offer from golf, boating, flying, shopping, or anything your heart desires!

Advance your training over the winter with FEI dressage trainer, Alix Szepesi.  Enter as many shows as you like with Alix's supportive coaching. Clients say "I cannot recommend Alix highly enough. She explains dressage with great clarity and patience, bolstering rider confidence."  Alix has a gift for connecting with horses and their riders. She uses classical dressage training methods emphasizing the importance of the underlying basics as well as having fun with your horse. Alix merges this with analysis of posture alignment and body mechanics to explain the signals your body gives to your horse.
